Is there any way i can convert my primo mix cassette hub from right to left side drive without buying anything?
I grind on the right side and im scared to ruin this hub because its the first i have that is actually good. I heard cog guards break easily so dont want to try it. My best bet is to switch from right side drive to left but dont know if it can be done with this hub
yes, you can remove your primo's driver and reverse the spring and pawls making it a left hand drive hub.
I would use a guard either way though. Yes they break easy, but they are cheap and easy to replace. If you are grinding a lot, you're going to damage the hub without one regardless of a left or right hand drive set up.
